With Christmas approaching, it’s time for your branch officers to start organising for the branch Annual General Meeting which this year takes place on THURSDAY 5^th MARCH 2015 at the Liner Hotel in Liverpool City Centre.

The AGM is the ‘governing body’ of the branch and is the official meeting at which Branch Officers and Activists are elected, or re-elected into their various roles. It’s also where we establish policy issues that we want to submit to CWU Annual Conference taking place at the end of April 2015.

If that all sounds a bit dry, don’t worry, there’s usually some lively and enjoyable debate before the business is drawn to a close and we concentrate on more social activities including the much fought over Annual AGM Quiz, or just take time to socialise with friends, colleagues and branch officers at the FREE BAR!

• 5^th January 2015 – Formal notification of the Branch AGM and a call for Policy Issues and Nominations for Branch Positions
• 29^th January 2015 – Closing date for Policy Issues and Nominations
• 3^rd February 2015 – Special Branch Meeting to determine policy issues to go forward to CWU Annual Conference in April.
• 19^th February 2015 – Final AGM Agenda, Annual Report, Policy Issues and Branch Election Results published
• 5^TH MARCH 2015 – BRANCH AGM FROM 6PM AT THE LINER HOTEL IN LIVERPOOL CITY CENTRE.
