November 2014 has been designated by the TUC as Young Workers Month.

The aim of the campaign is to highlight the issues that young workers face, promote union campaigns, and union membership and activity amongst our younger members.

Initiatives include:

• A competition to help design new CWU Youth publicity material
• A Union wide survey of young members to help identify key issues
• A new guide to support and assist young branch members who want to get more involved
• TUC ‘Big Debate’ in TUC HQ, Congress House in London
• #YWM14

Your branch is keen to support the initiative and on the back of the survey we are planning to call as many of our younger members as possible to hear first-hand the issues that impact on you specifically as a young member and to offer you the opportunity for ways to become more active in the workplace.
